WASSCE To Delay By One Month

The West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) scheduled for February will be delayed by a month, a Deputy Education Minister in charge of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, has disclosed.

Elorm Tettey Crowned Miss Volta 2018

Miss Elorm Precious Tettey was on Saturday crowned Miss Volta Ghana 2018 as the Queen. Elorm is a student of Akatsi College of Education and represented the Aflao Traditional Council in the contest. The competition started with auditions at both Sogakope, Ho and Hohoe and finally made it to the top 8 beautiful ladies for the contest.

GRASAG Hints Of Demo Over Bursary

The Executives of the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) National have expressed their dissatisfaction with the Scholarships Secretariat in relation to the payment of bursary and thesis grant to graduate students for 2016/2017 academic year.

Presbyterian Senior High School (Osu PRESEC) defeated Mfantsipim for the second time in three days to win the 2018 Sprite Ball Championship on Saturday at the El Wak Stadium.

Keta Senior High Technical School (SHTS) has been handed a two-year banned from participating in Sprite basketball competition after allegations of fielding three unqualified players in the game against Mfantsipm School were found to be true.

Kenya Begins Free SHS

The government of Kenya has released Sh37 billion (about $357,790,000) to all public schools towards the implementation of free education, a day after they reopened for the 2018 first term.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has disclosed that the Finance Ministry has released Ghs14, 172, 313.23 to settle salary arrears for validated teachers engaged between 2013 and 2016.
